-Edmonton police are hoping the public can help them identify a male suspect in a sexual assault on a 13 year old girl.
They were called to the Terwillegar Rec Centre Tuesday afternoon, after a young teenager says a man attacked her when she went into a family change room stall.
The suspect is described as an Asian male with a slim build, black hair with a heavy amount of blonde, and he had been dropped off by a mid-sized silver SUV.
“We are confident that someone out there knows who this suspect is,” says Det. Kevin Chung with the EPS’ Child Protection Section. “A stranger attack like this, in a populated recreation centre is incredibly concerning and we encourage anyone who knows more about this incident or the male suspect to contact police immediately.”
The girl is now receiving support from the Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
Investigators are asking anyone who may know the identity of the suspect to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.

-Alberta is asking thousands of water licence users to move their licence online to save time, cut red tape and help the province during a drought.
Some licences are still reporting through older electronic and paper-based systems, so if you had one issued before November of 2021, the government would like you to switch them to the online system by the end of this year.
They say it makes for easier tracking of how much water is available during a severe drought.

-A gardener from the County of Minburn says switching to a mulch and no-till approach has allowed her to “set it and forget it” when it comes to her garden.
Kim Ross with Rossdale Farm also says she hasn’t watered her garden in three years, even though the County of Minburn has been in a drought all that time.
Ross says you have to plant in a certain way, but once you’ve mastered that, you can relax and watch your veggies thrive without too much intervention.
She does teach classes. Just head to rossdalefarm.ca.
