-A big fire in west Edmonton earlier this morning destroyed two under-construction infill homes.
The cause of the blaze hasn’t been determined yet, but it happened along 100-A Avenue and 158th Street.
There was also some minor damage to a nearby child-care building.

-A 40-year old man died when the motorcycle he was riding hit the side of a city bus yesterday afternoon.
Edmonton police say the bus had been turning onto 79th Street from 106th Avenue when the speeding bike slammed into it.
The rider died at the scene, and police are now hoping to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.

-Redwater RCMP have charged a man in connection with an arson fire in the downtown this past Sunday afternoon.
Police had been on hand dealing with an intoxicated person outside a business, when a fire was noticed at the building next door.
Witnesses told police the man they were already dealing with was the one who set it.
Three buildings were affected by the blaze.

-Edmonton police are trying to find whoever drove an SUV into a home on 42nd Avenue and 70th Street early yesterday morning.
The homeowners and a tenant were in the building at the time, but weren’t hurt.
Two or three people bailed out of the SUV and ran off.
-And it wasn’t the only incident, as a car went through a fence and hit a house on 122nd Avenue and 92nd Street early yesterday.
No one was hurt in that crash, but the person who’d been driving the car drove off.

-The BC Maritime Employers Association says it would like to enter binding-arbitration to end the strike by port workers.
They’ve been on the picketline since Saturday, and there’s a lot of cargo just sitting there.
It includes everything from refrigerated food to fertilizer, critical minerals and much more.

-A Swift Current farmer who sent a “thumbs up” to a screenshot of a contract to deliver flax to a grain buyer in 2021 has now been told by a judge he has to pay 82-thousand dollars because he didn’t deliver the product.
Chris Achter told the court that “thumbs up” only meant he had received the contract, not that he was okay with the terms.
The judge in the case said that emoji is used to express approval, and so ruled the contract WAS agreed to.

It’s since been cut down to four that people can vote on. The choices are the Saskatoon River Pirates, the Saskatoon Berries, the Saskatoon Bridge Pigeons and the Saskatoon Cobra Chickens.
