-Edmonton City Council is crossing its fingers the coming winter won’t be snow-filled, because they’ve cut the snow clearing budget.
Last winter, it was 72-million dollars.
This coming winter, it’s being set at 61-million dollars.
Councillor Tim Cartmell says clearing will still happen, but it’s going to take longer.

-There was a deadly collision in Leduc County this past Saturday involving an ag sprayer and passenger vehicle.
RCMP say it happened at Township Road 485 and Range Road 272
The man driving the sprayer wasn’t hurt, but the 47-year old man in the other vehicle died at the scene.
RCMP are still looking into the cause of the crash.

-Some good news from St. Albert RCMP, as they found three kids who had been reported missing.
Mary, Cameron and Emily Bull were all found safe yesterday.

-The province announced yesterday that the “fuel tax pause program” is going to remain in effect for the rest of the year.
Premier Danielle Smith says it saves Albertans 13-cents a litre everytime they fill up.

-Edmonton’s Urban Planning Committee is looking at changing its zoning bylaws, to allow the cannabis tourism and hospitality industry to legally operate in the city.
If the change is approved, those businesses would be able to provide cannabis-infused food and beverages at events and festivals, along with cannabis therapeutic experiences at spas and other tourist destinations in the city.

-The hunt continues for a mini-sub that went missing while on a dive that brings tourists to see the wreckage of the Titanic.
There were five people on board, including the pilot, a well-known British adventurer, two members of an iconic business family from Pakistan, and another passenger.
The sub lost contact with the ship it had launched from Sunday, almost 2-hours into the dive.
The sub has a 96-hour supply of oxygen, which means til sometime on Thursday.

Mormon Crickets show up every four to six years before they disappear for a while.
It’s so bad that plows are being used to move the squashed ones off the roads….

-French’s has come out with Ketchup Cotton Candy.
The company says they wanted to try it after their ketchup ice-pop turned out to be a big hit last summer.
They say it’s savoury, but sweet.
And if you were hoping to try it here in Alberta, you’re out of luck, as it’s only going to be handed out at some locations next week in Vancouver and Ontario.
