Canada is on track to have more police officers killed in the line of duty in a single year, than at anytime in history. Already, since last fall, 10 police officers have died. The latest was an officer in Ontario. He and two other officers were ambushed as they were investigating reports of shots fired inside a house near Ottawa yesterday morning. A suspect was later arrested. One of the officers injured remains in serious condition.
