-A 59 year old man is facing charges, following an incident on the steps of the Leg late yesterday morning.
Edmonton police and Alberta Sheriffs were told a man had been spray-painting messages on one of the columns outside the building, so construction workers in the area confronted him.
They told police that’s when he picked up a gun that was on the steps and began waving it at them, warning them to leave him alone.
So they left and called for help.
When Alberta Sheriffs arrived, they told the suspect to hit the ground.
He complied and was taken into custody.
Police say they found two firearms, one of them loaded.
