The government of France is setting some new rules when it comes to plant-based meat substitutes. It’s going to prohibit using a list of 21 meat terms like steak, ham or butcher to refer to non-meat foods sold in that country. Vegan groups claim the french government is showing favoritism towards the meat sector. Farmers have long argued the idea of vegetarian meat is confusing to consumers.
