Edmonton police investigated a fatal collision involving a pedestrian. It happened Sunday evening around 9 in the area of 118th avenue and 57th street. Officers arriving on the scene were told a 73 year old female was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck. She died at the scene. The 36 year old female driver of the car remained on the scene. Speed and intoxication were not factors.
