An air quality advisory continues for much of central and southern Alberta today. Thick smoke continues to hover over the province, creating problems for people with breathing issues. The advisory states that concentrations of smoke can fluctuate over short distances and many vary throughout the day. It also advises against spending long periods of time outdoors and stop those activities if you experience shortness of breath, coughing or chest pains. The smoky conditions are expected to continue right into this evening.
