-As of yesterday afternoon, there are 64 wildfires burning in Alberta, with the risk considered extreme along the eastern slopes of the Rockies, from Jasper National Park to Calgary.

There was some good news for evacuated residents of Chateh, as they were allowed to head back home yesterday.
But those in the Fort Chipewyan region are still out.

-The Alberta Association of Ag Societies is offering support for farmers and ranchers who’ve been affected by the wildfires.
To be eligible, a producer would have to have a farm or ranch in an area where an evacuation took place, or if the provincial government had declared it a disaster region.
Just one nomination is allowed per family, but farmers can nominate themselves or someone can do it on their behalf.
The deadline is June 15th. (photo courtesy of AAAS)
