Several homes in a neighborhood of northwest Edmonton were being evacuated, as a huge grassfire raged nearby. At around 5 o’clock, fire crews were going door to door in the Albany neighborhood evacuating residents as a precaution, about a few dozen firefighters continued to battle the stubborn fire nearby. The flames came right up to the backyards of some homes, but no structures were damaged and there were no injuries. The neighborhood is located between the Anthony Henday freeway and 167th avenue.
