-As long as the weather co-operates, harvest for the Ponoka Community Growing Project will happen this Friday at 1pm.
The event is open to the public, and there will be lunch, followed by the combining of 155 acres of canola.
Proceeds from the sale of the crop will go to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
The field is located 6 miles north of the Ponoka Secondary Campus on Range Road 254.
If you are willing to help out with setting up, combining or with a financial donation,
please phone or text Nieske Schuur, 403-704-5211 or Peter Doornenbal, 403-302-2545.
