“Money Can’t Buy Happiness, But It Can Buy Shoes And That’s Pretty Close”
When I’m not strolling down the hallways of West Edmonton Mall looking for the next great shoe sale, or busy freezing my tushy ice fishing, you can find me on the CFCW Morning Show Monday to Friday 6am to 10am.
I’ve worked at various radio stations over the years but CFCW is the station I grew up listening to with my parents, so the ultimate dream was landing here. I’ve been hosting the Morning Show since September 2014, and have been loving every day since. Maybe that’s the caffeine talking. Before that I was on the Afternoon Drive Show for a number of years.
Beyond the mic, my soccer mom minivan was traded in years ago, as Kid#1 and Kid#2 are older now, but my “head, heart, hands and health” are still committed to “green”, the colour associated with 4-H. As a volunteer 4-H Alberta Project Leader for more than 5 years, empowering youth to learn new skills, build confidence and encourage new friendships, is what I love. Best of all, it’s a multi-club so that means all the fun, without ever having to clean up manure.
My Off-Air Guilty Pleasures:
- Any of those cheesy Hallmark/Lifetime movies, reality shows like “America’s Got Talent,” “Amazing Race Canada,” and “Below Deck: Mediterranean” (Captain Sandy is fire!)
- Action movies reign supreme especially if it’s a James Bond movie. Favourites include “Goldfinger,” “Live And Let Die,” “The Man With The Golden Gun,” and all of them where Daniel Craig is shirtless!
