-Economists say they aren’t expectiing any changes when the Bank of Canada announces its key interest rate this week.
That’s happening Wednesday, as experts believe it’s going to hold steady at 5-percent.
They do think we’ll see a rate cut by June.

-RCMP have laid terrorism charges against a suspect in the January attack on Edmonton city hall.
Among the charges, discharge of a firearm while being reckless as to the life and safety of another person, and causing damage to properyt by fire or explosion, knowing there were people inside.
28-year old Bezhani Sarvar of Edmonton is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.

-The Alberta Farm Animal Care Association announced on Friday it was shutting down.
The group was started by livestock producers in 1993, as it became the collective voice of the industry on livestock welfare..
They helped develop livestock emergency trailers, the ALERT line and many programs and resources, but the group says a lack of government funding and other issues led them to their decision.
Friday was their last day, but work is being done to make sure the ALERT line and other programs continue through some of their partners.

-The feds say they aren’t going to send anymore carbon rebates to people in Saskatchewan, because the province has stopped remitting the federal carbon tax on natural gas.
Advocates for low-income people are worried, as they say they use the rebates to help make ends meet.

-An Edmonton charity called Sikhs for Humanity was busy handing out food hampers yesterday.
Those behind the group say they aren’t about religion, they’re just about helping those who need it.
They have a food bank around 49th Street and Roper Road, and say they serve up to 5-hundred families every time they have a hamper drive.
