-Meanwhile, the city is looking to get back more than 82-million dollars from an automaker, in regards to the contract for electric buses.
Sixty of the vehicles were bought from California-based Proterra between 2019 and 2021.
In the contract, the company claimed the buses would handle Edmonton’s climate, but city officials say that’s never been the case.
And they say the gearboxes and steering boxes tend to fail, while the composite body structure cracks.
Last year, Proterra filed for bankruptcy, and has tried to throw out a number of contracts, including the one with Edmonton.

-A woman who’d been renting out her property near Wabamun Lake as an Airbnb says she’s going to sell it, after she says guests destroyed the place and stole as much as they could.
Joceyln St. Onge says food, tools, electronics, a truck and even a bed were taken, along with important documents.
Drug-related items and marks were left all over the house, while bars were placed on windows, and knives embedded in the frame of the back door.
She does have insurance and Airbnb coverage, but says it could take a while before that comes in.
At this point, RCMP have arrested two people in connection with the stolen truck.

-Some mixed news from a very reliable source when it comes to possible springtime moisture in Alberta.
As the provincial government has been preparing for a possible severe drought, Drew Lerner with “World Weather Inc” says the potential for moisture in central and northern regions of Alberta actually looks pretty promising.
But things are more dire for southern Alberta, where we haven’t been able to make up moisture deficits that have been building for a few years now.
