-Even though we’ve been crossing our fingers it would stay away, some regions of the province are looking at snow today.
Amounts are going to vary, but central Alberta could get 2 to 5cm, while southern Alberta is looking at 5 to 15cm.
The mountains could get even more.
Innisfail RCMP say conditions are not good between Carstairs and Olds. They’ve already been called to at least twelve collisions and they’re asking everyone else to avoid that stretch.

-Canadians worried about rising interest rates might be able to rest somewhat easy, as the Bank of Canada rate isn’t expected to move this week.
The Bank is supposed to say something Wednesday, but economists feel with the inflation rate dropping to 3.8-percent last month, there’s no reason for a hike.

-A new survey says the number of Canadians with a mortgage have been having more trouble making that payment in the past few months.
In fact, about one in six mortgage holders say it’s become very difficult as a result of rate hikes and other bills.
Four out of five homeowners with a mortgage say they’re concerned they’re going to be looking at higher payments when it comes to renewing.

-A warning from the federal Employment Minister that if Alberta decides to leave the Canada Pension Plan, it won’t be allowed to rejoin at some point.
Randy Boissonnault says that’s according to legislation set out in 1965.
And while the Prime Minister’s office said last week Alberta’s leaving the CPP would weaken the pensions of people across Canada, Premier Danielle Smith says it would work out to 175-dollars per person.
The provincial government is going to host another telephone town-hall tomorrow night, with a focus on southern Alberta.

-The city of St. Albert will be releasing a draft tomorrow of its budget for next year, and residents could be looking at a property tax hike of 5.5-percent.
It’s not set in stone at this point, as city council will be working on possible changes throughout the month of November.

-Rockets from Israeli warplanes hit a couple of airports in Syria this weekend, while the Israeli military exchanged fire with the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon.
And there’s word airstrikes have been hitting regions of Gaza where refugees had been told to go to get away from the fighting.
In the meantime, doctors say low fuel supplies are putting premature babies in incubators at risk, because some hospitals are hours from running out of generator fuel.
