-Officials with the Northern Tornadoes Project now says the twister that slammed into homes and farms near Didsbury and Carstairs this past Saturday had the same fury as the one that hit Edmonton back in 1987.
It’s been designated an EF-4, based on wind speed, ground and drone surveys.
It had a maximum speed of 275-km an hour and damaged fourteen homes, completely destroying five of them.
It also had enough strength to throw a combine 50 metres.
Although just one person suffered minor injuries, several cattle and chickens died directly in the storm, while a horse had to be euthanized later because of its injuries.

-A 42-year old Vegreville man has been charged, after RCMP got a report on Friday that someone had thrown an explosive device out a vehicle window while heading down Highway 16-A in the community.

-The town of Dundurn, Saskatchewan is believed to have broken a Guiness World Record this past Saturday for most people wearing an inflatable dinosaur costume in one area.
