Area: This is for the east part of Yellowhead County. The evacuation area starts at the Pembina River west to Range Road 101. North border is Township Road 550 and south border to Township Road 520. Includes Evansburg, Wildwood, Lobstick, Hansonville.
Description: Evacuation Order for immediate evacuation for the east part of Yellowhead County. Fire conditions have increased. If you have not left, you must leave immediately. Head west on Highway 16 to get to the reception centre in Edson. Fire has jumped the River from Parkland in Yellowhead County and is moving fast in a westerly direction.

Township Road 553 to Township Road 555 Range Road 51 to Range Road 54. CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS ALERT AREA.
Description: MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER for all people between Township 553 and Township 555, and Range Roads 51 to 54.
Instruction: All people in the impacted area must immediately evacuate. Go to the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre 4918 54 Street in Mayerthorpe.
-Hot and windy conditions yesterday led to a lot of wildfire flareups and mandatory evacuations across northern and central Alberta.
An alert came through late last night, telling residents of Drayton Valley and the surrounding area to leave because an out-of-control wildfire.

-A reception centre has been set up at the Edmonton Expo Centre for evacuees from the Drayton Valley fire, as thousands of people were told to leave the town late last night.

They’re providing temporary lodging, food services, clothing, animal care and healthcare.
They are not looking for donations at this time-, but we’ll let you know if that changes.
Get Ready In The Park Event Cancelled
And the city now says they are cancelling their “Get Ready in the Park” event that had been planned for tomorrow, in order to focus on the evacuees.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services has also sent a couple of trucks and some manpower to Entwistle, to help with the fire in that region.
-In the meantime, organizers have cancelled the Drayton Valley Pro-Rodeo. Everyone got out safely with their animals last night.
It should also be noted that this weekend’s annual 4-H Highway Clean Up has been cancelled, also because of the wildfires.

-In Parkland County, residents of Entwistle were forced to leave again, along with those west of Range Road 65 to the Pembina River, north of Township Road 530 to Highway 16. They were told to head for Wabamun.

-Over in Yellowhead County, people in Wildwood, Evansburg, Lobstick and Hansonville had to pack up and leave, many of them for the second time.
They were told to head to Edson.

-Residents of the Little Red River Cree Nation, and those in Fox Lake were told yesterday they had to leave, because a wildfire was threatening the barges they use to get in and out of the region.
At least twenty homes in the area have been destroyed, along with a store and the RCMP detachment.

-Some residents of the Cold Lake First Nation had to leave yesterday afternoon, as they were told to go to the Dene Hotel and Conference Centre.
We’ve been told at least one home has been destroyed by fire.

-In Lac Ste Anne County, people east of Sangudo had to evacuate, as they were told to head for the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre.

-In Leduc County, the region just northeast of Warburg had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon as a fire was moving towards some homes in the area.

-In Athabasca County, people along Range Road 214 and 215, north of Township Road 647 to the Athabasca River were told to evacuate last night, and to head for the Athabasca Multi-Plex.
People between Jackfish Lake and the Athabasca River are on standby.

-The fire that caused so much smoke in west Edmonton earlier this week flared up again as well.
That’s the one around 111th Avenue and the Henday.
There’s a lot of smoke in that part of the city this morning.

-There was a big fire in Fort Saskatchewan last night, as three homes were destroyed and another wound up with damage.
This was on Boxwood Bend.
There haven’t been any reports of injuries, and investigators are still looking into the cause of the blaze.

-A house fire in southeast Edmonton yesterday evening sent a woman and girl to the hospital.
This happened around 39th Avenue and 57th Street.
Two houses were damaged.
The victims’ injuries aren’t life-threatening and investigators are still looking into the cause of that blaze.

-There was a fire near the Redwater transfer station yesterday evening.
No one was evacuated, and the fire is being held.
