-Tributes are coming in for the Strathcona County RCMP officer who died early yesterday morning while on his way to a call.
32-year old Constable Harvinder Singh Dhami had been heading to a call when his vehicle hit a concrete barrier on Township Road 540, near the northeast edge of Edmonton.
Deputy Commissioner Curtis Zablocki says “Harvey” was very well liked and is survived by his wife, mother, brother and sister.

Dhami had been with the Strathcona County RCMP since 2019.
Investigators are now trying to determine the cause of the crash.

-A study is going to be done to figure out if it would make sense to re-open a rail-line that was abandoned back in 2008 between Oyen and Lyalta.
The province and Canada Infrastructure Bank are going to fund the study, as leaders in the region say it would make a lot of sense to expand rail networks.
