-Edmonton police say one of the suspects in a firearm incident on a city bus has been arrested.
Police say the man had actually been kicked out of West Edmonton Mall last Friday, because he was trespassing.
That’s when officers say he pulled a sawed-off shotgun out of his backpack and pointed it at security and shoppers, before he ran off and jumped on a bus.
Not long afterwards, he got off that vehicle and ran into someone’s yard around 89th Avenue and 178th Street.
Police say he pointed the gun at the homeowner before taking off.
Investigators say he was spotted at the Belvedere Transit Station two days later, where he was arrested.

-Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing man.
Police were called to the North Saskatchewan River on December 8th, where they say a man was walking on the ice near the High Level Bridge.
Members of Edmonton Fire Rescue Services were on site with their “rapid deployment craft” and tried to negotiate with the man.
But they say he had been acting erratically and later jumped into the water.
He was pulled under the ice and is still missing.
Police say at this point, they haven’t been able to identify him, but say he appears to be in his 30’s, he’s white, skinny, about 6-feet tall and 160 pounds and had scruffy facial hair.
He had been wearing a grey winter jacket, black and blue plaid pajama pants, a dark-coloured toque and black shoes with blue stripes.
He was calling himself Tyler.
Police have released a composite sketch of him, along with a photo of the shoes he had been wearing.
Anyone with any information about the man’s identity is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.

-With cardiovascular disease rising in women, the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance is hoping to bring more attention to the matter.
Edmonton’s Bobbi-Jo Green is a member of the group, and says even though she’s a runner who eats healthy and doesn’t smoke, she has heart issues.
And she says women have to advocate for themselves, because the healthcare system tends to focus on the heart health of men:
“I was accused of drug-seeking, I was accused of making things up, I was accused of it all being in my head. I couldn’t read to my children, because I was so short of breath all the time. I was a runner and I couldn’t even walk around the block, I couldn’t push a cart at Costco, I couldn’t do anything, but when I would go for help, I was accused of being what’s known as a frequent-flyer and what does she want now?”
