Things are little quiet on the “Stocking Stuffers for Seniors” front.
Jimmy Morrison with “Operation Friendship Seniors Society” says they’re hoping to collect gifts for about 45-hundred seniors in the capital region by December 9th—-but there’s still a lot of wish list tags left on the trees at London Drugs.
He says they’re really hoping to give them a nice Christmas–as many of them don’t have family—but he says you can go into London Drugs—see a name on the tag–and connect with that name:
“We’ve had people every year from year one—going into the store and wanting the same senior–because they’ve built that kind of cool relationship where they know what Bob likes. One of the cool stories–is that the first year a friend of mine went into a London Drugs to grab a tag off the tree and got Robert. And Robert is a huge Oilers fan. Every year my friend wants Robert because she likes getting him Oilers stuff. A few years ago she came in and met Robert–and he just said thank you. And a simple thank you to her—is why this campaign is so special to her.”
All you have to do is pick up a tag—get the items on the list and drop them off with the tag at customer service—by December 9th.
