It seems romaine lettuce grown in the States—is going to be tagged with new consumer protection labels.
It comes in the wake of yet another E-coli outbreak—–the third one in about a year.
The FDA is pretty sure the latest had been grown in the “central coast” region of California.
The labels they’re talking about are going to be temporary—-and will say where the stuff was grown–and when it was harvested.
