Turns out this past summer wasn’t a bad one for blue-green algae in Alberta lakes—-but experts say that goo is here to stay.
U of A biologist Rolf Vinebrooke says this was actually the best summer for blue-green algae since 2012—in that there wasn’t as much.
But—he says that doesn’t mean its gone…
He says many regions can thank the cold snap we had back in the spring.
