-Pot is now legal in Canada—and some people are already lined up outside some stores in the province—waiting to make that first buy.
But it seems MOST people—arent interested in using weed—-ever.
A recent survey says 62-percent of those asked—say nope—not gonna happen.
-In the meantime–there’s a lot of concern about users either working or driving when they’re high. And thats where roadside testing comes into play. But while the feds have approved a roadside saliva test through the “Drager DrugTest 5000”—there are many concerns it wont work in the cold—-and there’s the fact its been known to give false readings. Minister Bill Blair talked to CBC about those concerns:
“We put them through their paces. We put them to the test. The National Research Council conducted over 200 tests of those devices—to make sure they did meet criteria. And so, when someone perhaps, not quite as informed as they might be, suggests that they have concerns about the science—do your homework.”
Blair is taking a lot of flak on social media for those comments. (photo credit–CBC)
