Premier Rachel Notley is with a number of dignitaries this morning—for a blessing ceremony –for the Trans Mountain pipeline.
They’re near the site thats going to store materials for the project.
Enoch Cree Nation Chief—Bill Morin is there–along with the head of Kinder Morgan—and the Natural Resources minister.
Ian Anderson with Kinder Morgan says today is a celebration about a wonderful partnership:
“The special blessing we had earlier–prepare the site for that construction. Similar blessings and ceremonies will be done elsewhere along the line in the coming months —as we respect the rights and traditions of the people that we touch.”
The site on the Enoch Cree Nation—will house up to 40km of pipe that will be used for the line—-once construction begins. (photo credit–Courtney Theriault)
