How about a round of applause for an Okotoks man—who helped to rescue a duck that was trapped in an outhouse toilet near Bragg Creek yesterday.
James Anderson says he had stopped to use the facility while out on his motorcycle—and when he looked down–he saw the trapped bird looking up at him.
He called conservation officers—who filled the hole with water to force the duck up a bit—and then they used a snare to pull it out.
Took about an hour.
Once they had him out–they cleaned him up in the river—and he swam away. (photo not of the rescued duck—file photo–The Spruce)
