The city of Edmonton is ready to roll out the first DRIVERLESS lawn mowers:
They’re electric—and are operated by GPS—so they stay within their assigned area.
And unlike the Roomba vacuum cleaner you may have in your home—the mowers can handle slopes and obstacles.
They weigh between 15 and 30 pounds—are rechargable—and head back to their charging stations when they need more juice.
Here’s the best news—they’re designed to detect objects from a distance—and will cut their speed to avoid collisions—so according to experts—they’re safe for kids, pets and wildlife to be around. (photo credit–CBC)
