David Suzuki’s getting an honorary degree at the U of A this morning——but not everyone wants him around.
There’s a crowd of protesters on hand—-calling his honor an “insult” to the school, anyone who’s ever gone there—-and the oil industry.
The protest was put together by a group called “Rally 4 Resources.”
The founder of the “Oilsands Strong” group says he thinks Suzuki has done a lot of harm to Alberta—and should be ashamed of himself.
Its already biting the University—because one law firm in the province has already taken back a promise to put 100-thousand dollars into the Faculty of Law. (photo credit–Andrea Huncar/CBC)
