As things keep drying out—-we’ve got more fire advisories to tell you about.
The County of Wetaskiwin is now under a “fire restriction”.
Fire permits have been suspended until further notice.
But—fires in covered and approved fire pits are okay, regulated burning barrels are okay, incinerators for farm use are okay, solid fuel, propane and natural gas barbecues are okay.
There’s a “fire advisory” in place in Strathcona County.
Recreational fires will only be allowed in covered fire pits, pots, bowls and chimneys–plus natural gas and propane appliances…
Burning barrels and fireworks are not allowed….
Things are incredibly dry right now—-and just in the past few days–there have been ten uncontrolled fires in Strathcona County.
-Another house went up in flames in Sherwood Park last night. Two people inside got out safely–but the house is gone.
-A fire advisory has also been issued for the MD of Bonnyville. You can still have small campfires—but you have to be extremely careful.
