Lot of talk—but no real action. Thats how we can basically sum up whats being done by politicians concerning the TransMountain pipeline expansion.
And people are fed up.
Yesterday—more than 1-thousand people showed up for a rally in Calgary on the matter–including UCP leader Jason Kenney:
“The Prime Minister could solve all of this today—if he exercised national leadership. He has the constitutional power to do so. He also has the power of the federal purse.”
Oh there was that so-called “emergency meeting” among MP’s yesterday.
A similar rally is planned for the steps of the Alberta legislature on Thursday, starting at 4p.m.
But when reporters asked Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr afterwards what will happen—he only said—the government is backing the project 100-percent.
Here in Alberta—Premier Rachel Notley said if it means Alberta needs to buy the expansion to get it done–thats going to happen. (photo credit–CBC)
