Organizers of a protest against the TransMountain pipeline expansion in Vancouver yesterday said they had thousands of people lined up for that event….
What they got—was between 1 and 2-hundred…..but they were right outside the Prime Minister’s hotel—since he was in town for a Liberal fundraiser.
“Climate leaders dont build pipelines–and KinderMorgan isnt going to go through. We’re going to stand here and give a clear message that we dont want it.”
There was actually a much bigger crowd on hand at the Canucks game–where they sold so many 50-50 tickets–that someone walked away with a jackpot of more than 450-thousand dollars!
Trudeau by the way—-will be touring the new Suncor plant in Fort McMurray today. (photo credit–CBC)
