Lot of people are wondering if the river valley gondola is ever going to become a reality in the capital city. It was the winning entry in the Edmonton Project—but given that it could cost at least 25-million dollars—its still just an idea. That being said–a plan is starting to come together—to see whether or not the idea—can become a reality.
-In the meantime—one city councillor says a gondola on Whyte Avenue might be the way to go. Tim Cartmell says the city is working on a new LRT line for that part of town—-but he thinks a gondola that would link the new Bonnie Doon LRT station with the U of A campus—would be faster, cheaper—-and not as invasive. We still have to see if anyone agrees with him or not.
