The province’s environment minister is distancing herself from a controversy, involving her Twitter account. A message on Shannon Phillips’ account, suggested people eat less meat. It was posted on the 2nd of this month, and Phillips says it was made while she was away, adding one of her staffers posted it. She called the incident regrettable and was assured by the staffer, it wouldn’t happen again. The incident comes at the same time, some groups are calling for a tax on meat in Canada to encourage people to eat less of it.
