-Not really a surprise since he WAS considered the frontrunner—but Jason Kenney won yesterday’s by-election in Calgary-Lougheed.
He picked up almost 72-percent of the vote—-about 6-thousand votes ahead of the NDP’s Philip van der Merwe.
The Liberals’ David Khan came in third.
Here’s what Kenney had to say after the win:
“We are on track. Tonight sends a clear message–that we are united, that we are stronger together—and that if we stay humble and work hard–we are on track to defeat this job killing socialist government-and to renew Alberta as a place of opportunity.”
It now means Kenney finally has a seat in the Leg—-and Premier Rachel Notley says she’s looking forward to “the debate.”
