-The Premier didnt have any problems winning over the crowd at a Calgary Chamber luncheon last Friday.
Two years ago—you could have heard crickets chirping when she spoke to the members.
But this time—she opened with a joke —-and got several rounds of applause—including a standing ovation when she was done:
” So–as you may have heard—I spent the earlier part of this week out in Ontario—you know—the home of those Eastern bastards….And no of course—I’m not referring to the very fine people who call that part of the country home. I am of course–referring to those soon to be trampled Toronto Argonauts.”
Much of the speech centred around the work her government has done in promoting pipelines to the rest of the country.
