Police are worried about the upcoming legalization of pot.
Its supposed to light up in July—-and while some weed-loving Canadians are thrilled—-police—-not so much.
Edmonton police chief Rod Knecht for example—-told CBC—he’s concerned about public safety—because right now—there isnt an approved roadside test for pot impairment:
“The timelines are extremely tight. When we were talking about them with the minister, we were overwhelmed. The timelines are super tight—particularly when we dont have a test. Best case scenario—-April. “
