There was another mass shooting in the U-S over the weekend—this time at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas…
A guy armed with an assault rifle opened fire on the people inside the small building yesterday morning—-killing 26 of them—and wounding several others…
The victims—range in age—from 5—to 72….
President Donald Trump’s in Japan right now—-but he says its not a gun issue:
“We have a lot of mental health problems in our country—as do a lot of other countries…But this isnt a guns situation. We could go into it–but its a little soon to go into it. Fortunately somebody else had a gun that was shooting in the opposite direction–otherwise-as bad as it was—it would have been much worse. This is a mental health problem at the highest level. Its a very sad event–these are great people—–but thats the way I view it.”
The gunman crashed the vehicle he raced off in –and was found dead in it—when police caught up with him….
As for his background—-he was in the military—had been court-martialed in 2012 for assaulting his wife and child, spent a year behind bars–and got a “bad misconduct discharge” in 2014.
