Here we go again….
There’s a serious wildfire in the MD of Ranchland thats being fed by high winds….
There’s heavy smoke in the region—-its making it tough to see—and as a result—-road conditions—are considered “hazardous.”
Officials are telling people in the region to be ready to evacuate—just in case—so make you have your necessities—and keep your pets with you……
The MD of Ranchland is in southwestern Alberta.
Everyone be careful if you’re going to be outside today in the province…
The winds are building up—and Environment Canada says we’re in for gusts between 70 and 100km an hour this afternoon…..
Things could be flying all over the place–and if you’re just walking around—being hit with something that came loose—-could injure you.
If you’re on the road—adjust your driving—-as there were a number of semis that flipped on the QE-2 last week in those high winds….
And dont throw your cigarettes on the ground—-since thats what started the big wildfire near Airdrie last week.
It took that one spark—-and when the winds blew up—–the fire was off and running.
People lost their homes and pets.
