The province has put together a consultation team of business and academic leaders—to help Edmonton and Calgary make their case in trying to attract Amazon.
The online retail giant is looking for a site for its 2nd headquarters—and both Alberta cities are hoping to attract it.
Premier Rachel Notley says they can offer Amazon everything they’re looking for–and more:
“Alberta’s overall taxes are the lowest in Canada. And now we have one of the lowest corporate taxes in North America—12 percent lower than the average in the United States.”
No matter where Amazon decides to call home–that move is expected to bring 5-billion dollars and create 50-thousand jobs with it.
