Wont be long before you’ll be able to buy craft beers and spirits–at farmers and artisan markets throughout the province.
Finance Minister Joe Ceci says that new policy kicks in later this month–as the government cuts red tape for small businesses and consumers:
“Effective August 15th, small brewers and distillers–will be able to register and market their products—at approved farmers and artisan markets throughout Alberta.
CECI: “Ha ha–that would be the patrons I think. Maybe the brewers too.”
Cottage wine is already allowed at farmers’ markets.
There are 92 small liquor businesses in the province—that have said they would love to showcase their products this way.
