The town of Thorsby is dredging out holding ponds—in the hopes of getting a handle on their “stenchy” water.
Health officials say its clear and is safe to drink—-but everyone says it stinks–and tastes bad.
Experts think algae may be growing in the holding ponds because of the current hot weather.
If cleaning those holding ponds doesnt work—the town might have to replace the old water-pipes.
That could cost—about 10-million dollars.
