UPDATE: RCMP SAY STELIANOS PSAROUDAKIS HAS TURNED HIMSELF IN.
RCMP are on the hunt for a Calgary man who they say faked a cycling injury before trying to solicit money online.
The suspect had claimed he was on a trail near Bragg Creek this month—when he was clotheslined by barbed wire someone had strung along the trail.
Mounties say they talked with him, with other cyclists who’d been on the trail–and people who live in the area—-and came to the conclusion—-that none of the guy’s story happened.
In fact–police say he had ACTUALLY been riding an ATV–and hit a barbed wire fence.
So now he’s looking at fraud charges–and any money that was donated through “gofundme”—has been given back to those who gave.
