Ken Dawson

I can't believe I've been at the mighty 790 since 1986! During that time, my path has taken a detour or two through one of our sister FM stations, and now it feels good to be back where it all started.

I've been a resident of the 'best city' in the 'best province' in the 'best country in the world' (thanks Bill Smith) for the vast majority of my life. Took a brief 'tour of duty' in Medicine Hat at CHAT after graduating from Nait's Radio & Television Arts program in '85.

Home is where I like to be the most along with my lovely bride Alix, my daughters Kate and Madeleine, and my collection of livestock which includes Murray the golden retriever, Toonces (cat number one), and Tuxedo (backup cat). We love to spend time together in the garden, on our bikes, attending our daughters' ball games, soccer games, dance recitals, taking trips in the summer, going out for a bite, and hanging around watching movies or our favorite shows. During football season, everyone takes cover in the basement while I yell at the TV. They like it when it's a home game because it means I'm at the Stadium...far away from them. Did I mention I like the Eskimos!
