CFCW Country Radio

Sharon Mallon

After growing up on a cotton farm in Alabama, co-hosting the CFCW morning show is the best gig a girl could ever ask for!

Having said that, my short stint as an Olympic pole vaulter was thoroughly enjoyable.  I also spent time as a mule skinner, drywaller, scuba diver instructor, helicopter pilot, conductor, cellist, hair stylist and east coast fisherman.  While all of these experiences taught me a great deal about life, I realized my true passion was...talking and making people laugh; that's where radio comes in!

From the time I was a little, I have ALWAYS loved radio.  I remember as a young girl looking 'inside our radio' for the people who were talking---all I could ever see were 'little lights'.  Today, I believe people on the radio can be 'lights' in the lives of others; in fact, I believe d.j.'s can be 'points of light' and that's why Randy Travis's song 'Points of Light' is one of my favorites.

Some of this biography is fictional.  That my friends, is a direct result of working with Danny Hooper; I can now fib and embellish without blinking an eye.  Sometimes even I believe what I've concocted!  Thankyou for listening to CFCW...and for being able to separate truth from fiction!

Sharon's Recipe

Sharon's Carrot Casserole from Company's Coming

3 lb carrots, peeled and diced
1 large onion
1/2 cup each, mayonnaise and sour cream
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp melted margarine.

Boil carrots and onion together until tender. Drain well, and mash. Place in an 11 by 7 greased baking dish. Mix sour cream and mayonnaise together and spread on top of the carrots. Mix breadcrumbs in with margarine, and sprinkle on top. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
