Stella Stevens

Hi, I’m the newest member of the CFCW Announcer Team having started here in May of 2007. After having my first child, Alex (not short for Alexander, just Alex), I decided it was time to leave the PST-charging province of BC and move back to Edmonton where I was born and raised. So far it’s proved to be a smart move for not only my shop-aholic ways, but for free babysitting as both sets of grandparents live here too.

My start in radio was while I was still in high school. I volunteered to help out in the music department, and from there they hired me on and couldn’t get rid of me. After a few years working in music, came stints in reception and as the engineering secretary. What I really wanted though was to be “on the air”, so I enrolled in NAIT’S Radio and Television Arts program.

Although the majority of my career has been behind the microphone having fun, I’ve also worked in Promotions, Production and Writing (some of the toughest jobs in radio – people in those fields really work their buns off). I’m now entering my 20th year in radio I feel so lucky to be back in Alberta playing the best music in the world for the best listeners in the world! Thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed.
