Calvin Vollrath's band, Country Swing, returns after a year-and-a-half hiatus to Fiddler's Roost!
The Fiddler's Roost, 7306-76 Ave., started in the 1980's but had to close during the pandemic. It's a small venue that holds about 100 people with great atmosphere, and is just about the last place in town where musicians can play traditional Country Music! On March 12th, there will be a "Save The Fiddler's Roost" Fundraiser concert featuring Country Swing! The hope is to not only raise money for the venue, but to get people back out enjoying Live Music again, with the possible return of their Monday night Country Jam, Tuesday night Fiddle Jam, and more.
The band is donating their wages for the evening, and some great contributors have already donated money, including Edmonton Folk Fest, the Northern Bluegrass Circle, and Brett Kissel. There will be raffles for Two Sunday Passes at Folk Fest, and a Guitar from the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival, among other great prizes and lots of fun activities!
Tickets are $25.00, call 780-965-1358 or order your tickets online through Calvin Vollrath's website. Doors open at 6:30pm.
