The latest round of NAFTA talks get underway this week in Montreal.  However, the feeling of those close to the talks, is that the 2 decades-old trade deal is on life support…with Donald Trumps hand on the plug.  After hinting just over a week ago, he’d like to see the talks continue, something changed his tune.  In a comment made to reporters late last week, the US President described NAFTA as a “bad joke.”  Former federal Tory leader Rona Ambrose, who now heads the government’s NAFTA trade delegation told CTV news on the weekend, she believes it’s no longer a case of if Trump will pull the US out of NAFTA, but when.
