Alberta’s agriculture and forestry minister is heading to Kansas City this weekend. Oneil Carlier will be meeting with Canadian and American agriculture officials to discuss a new and improved NAFTA. It’s part of the annual Legislative Agriculture Chairs summit. Carlier says he plans to reaffirm Alberta’s commitment to open markets under NAFTA. The summit comes just before the next round of NAFTA talks between the three nations, which to this point, have yielded very little.
