There’s going to be a bone-marrow donor drive next month in St. Albert—for an 11-year old girl who’s in a fight for her life.
Alex Pasychnyk was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia this past June—and has already had drug therapy in the hopes of boosting her bone marrow.
If it doesnt work—she’ll need an immediate marrow transplant to live…
So the quest to find a match is on…
The first drive is November 25th at Servus Place in St. Albert—from 11am til 2pm.
Potential donors are between 17 and 35 years old—of Polish, Ukranian or English descent—as ethnic background plays a major role in finding a match.
Joining the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network is simple. You can start the registration process here.
