It could be some time before police re-open the Henday and 184th Street in west Edmonton.
A 31-year old woman was killed in a crash in that area….and while police are still working on the cause of the collision—they had received a “Curb the Danger” call from a motorist in the area just before 8 this morning.
When police got to the scene–they found the victim behind the wheel of the car.
Officers had been told the car was heading northbound on 184th Street when it allegedly ran into the back of a van that was stopped at a red light…..
The van was pushed into the path of oncoming traffic–and hit a mini-van—-but the drivers of those two vehicles werent reallly hurt.
Police dont think the woman who died—had been wearing her seatbelt.
Both the north and southbound lanes of 184th Street are closed—-and so are the exit ramps from the Henday…..
