It was a busy night in the province—as people were counting votes in the municipal elections…. In Edmonton–it was no contest for Don Iveson—-who won in a landslide.
“Ten years ago, when I first ran for city council, Sara and I had the honour of standing in front of a gathering, a little smaller than this–of Edmontonians–to thank them for their support–and reflect on our shared aspirations for this incredible city. That night–ten years ago, we had a hard time fathoming the amount of faith our fellow citizens had put in me. And today—ten years, three elections later–I am happy to report that that feeling of responsibility and of humility and even awe—-has not diminished for us—-not even one little bit.”
